Lucy + Ethel is a 16 X 19 pastel on black UA 400 pastel paper. Working with the dark paper provided natural shadows and contours in the chickens' faces. The complimentary colors were primary while designing this piece. Lots of linework and details were pushed on the final layer. Lucy + Ethel will be on exhibit starting in September of 2019 at the La Grange Art League.
