Pheasant Run is a 9.5X12 pastel on natural UA 400 pastel paper. This was a piece done with a complimentary red-orange toned ground. The focus was on the gestural stride of this bird. Lots of marks were added at the end to enhance the texture of the feathers. Pheasant Run won first place in the Animal/Wildlife competition in Artist's Magazine. It will be featured in the December 2019 issue.
