Bison Sketch is an original 8X10 sketch of an American Bison. Working with graphite is a great way to study value and form. Its usually a precursor for a painting where I map all the animal features out ahead of time to get a feel for where I will place colors. This piece turned out simple and soft, which is unlike the typical bison presence.
